If your Emergency requires Immediate Attention
Medical Emergencies require immediate medical attention because of an unforeseen injury or a sudden or worsened illness that could permanently damage a patient's health if treatment is delayed. They typically include inpatient or outpatient services, which, if not provided, could result in serious medical complications.
- Call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
- It is important to notify your Primary Care Physician of any emergency room visit or hospitalization within 24 hours or as soon as possible.
